July 4th

We started our day with a visit to Tian'namen square, the main entrance to the Imperial palace. Then, under a hot summer sun, we explored the awe-inspiring Forbidden city. For dinner we had Pekin duck. We are now at the hotel, relaxing and getting ready to go swimming. Great first day!
